# The ReFi Treasury

Investors are first required to purchase and own **$REFI tokens**. Their capital is then pooled into the **ReFi Treasury**.

The ReFi Treasury is managed by the **ReFi investment team**. Their aim is to grow the ReFi Treasury through deploying investor capital onto various chains and protocols, and extracting alpha / yield from their investments.

The ReFi investment team also determines the amount of distributions to be made to $REFI holders, based on the investment profits generated over time.

## ReFi Treasury Value

The ReFi Treasury value can be viewed in real-time via [reimagined.fi/treasury](https://www.reimagined.fi/treasury).

## Historical Treasury Performance

This is the marked-to-market ("MtM") value of the **ReFi Treasury** and **Total AUM** (which includes treasury assets we manage for other DAOs / institutional investors).

Since our establishment in 2021, we've made the following **investment profit distributions** to investors. As such, the ReFi Treasury and AUM figures below accounts for and deducts these distributions:

* 17 Aug: $15.5K
* 7 Apr: $80K
* 25 Mar: $30K
* 24 Feb: 20.5 ETH ($53.4K)
* 29 Jan to 2 Feb 2022: 80 ETH
* 17 to 19 Jan 2022: 75 ETH
* 10 Jan 2022: 60 ETH
* 4 Jan 2022: 50 ETH
* 28 Dec 2021: 40 ETH

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://refi.gitbook.io/docs/protocol-details/the-refi-treasury.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
